My Google Scholar Page

I am an Assistant Professor of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis at North Carolina State University. My research is broadly focused on early childhood and early grade education policy. I am interested in ensuring children experience a high-quality and seamless continuum of support as they transition from early education to K-12 education. Specifically, I study Pre-K-to-3rd grade educational leadership, early grade alignment, kindergarten transition practices, early literacy reform, and factors that sustain or constrain early learning gains. I have published over 20 articles in leading journals like Educational Research and AERA Open. My research has also been featured in popular press outlets like Education Week and the Hechinger Report.
